Want to save water and money? Utah Water Savers’ Landscape Incentive Program (LIP) helps eligible homeowners receive incentives for replacing grass with water-efficient landscaping, switching spray irrigation to drip, and planting new trees.
Almost all the water we use is outdoor watering. By making smart landscape changes we can make a big difference in reducing water demand.

Old buildings often hold unexpected stories.

In Provo, Tom Taylor points to the Bright Building as a reminder of what can be uncovered when we take a closer look. Pieces of Edsel Ford cars were once found inside the building, tucked away and largely forgotten.

The Bright Building shows how historic places are shaped not just by architecture, but by the stories and memories layered within them.

As part of our How Provo Was Saved series for National Historic Preservation Month, we’re highlighting the stories that make Provo’s historic places worth exploring.

Some buildings carry layered histories that make them especially meaningful.

Amanda Knight Hall at Brigham Young University was the first purpose-built women’s dormitory and later housed an early version of the Missionary Training Center. Its story reflects changing patterns in education, campus life, and community identity in Provo.
