The Brooks County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to remain weather aware as Hurricane Isaias brings the potential for hazardous weather across our area.

⚠️ The greatest concern begins Friday evening and continues through Saturday, with heavy rainfall, gusty winds, localized flooding, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

Tornadoes associated with tropical systems can develop rapidly, including during overnight hours.

Please secure loose outdoor items, charge your devices, and have multiple ways to receive emergency weather alerts.

Stay alert, stay prepared, and NEVER drive through flooded roadways!

As harvest season gets underway across Brooks County, please use extra caution on our roadways. đźšś

Our farmers are working long hours, and you may encounter tractors, cotton pickers, peanut equipment, and other slow-moving machinery traveling between fields.
Slow down, be patient, keep a safe distance, and only pass when it is safe and legal to do so. A few extra minutes can help keep our farmers, and everyone sharing the road safe.
