Racine Unified Schools Educate every student to succeed.
Our culturally diverse schools prepare our students to thrive in a global community.

Located in southeastern Wisconsin, Racine Unified School District (RUSD) is the fifth-largest school district in the state, serving nearly 16,000 students. Our Vision
Our North Star Vision – that all students will graduate career and/or college ready – guides our highly qualified educators in providing rigorous and engaging learning experiences for our students. We offer a wide variety of choices and programs that create opportunities for all students to excel, including 3- and 4-year-old programs, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, dual language, award-winning fine arts, after-school programs, nationally recognized Career and Technical Education programs, and more. Our Mission
Educate every student to succeed. RUSD's Community Standards
This RUSD page is intended to be a place for us to share important information with the community and engage in constructive discussion. When commenting, please follow these guidelines to keep conversations on track:

Keep your comments on topic and constructive. Take responsibility for the conversations you take part in. Don't attack people and don't respond to attacks. Respect others, their ideas and their opinions. We will hide any comments that are off-topic. You and your friends will be able to see these hidden comments, but the general public will not. We will delete:
Personal attacks directed at anyone. All forms of discrimination (or posts that could be interpreted as such). Comments we believe exist only to provoke or mislead. Comments identifying or sharing the personal information of another person (including children) without their consent. Comments that are commercial or repeatedly shared external links. We reserve the right to ban commenters who repeatedly breach the guidelines above. Wisconsin Statutes 19.31-19.39 require us to archive all social media posts (including comments deleted by you or by RUSD) in compliance with public records laws. All comments you make, edit and/or delete are archived.

Bricks from Former Roosevelt, Schulte, and Giese Schools Available to the Community

RUSD has a limited number of bricks salvaged from the former Roosevelt and Schulte Schools following their demolition. We recognize that these schools hold special memories for many alumni, former staff, families, and community members, and we are pleased to make these bricks available as keepsakes.

A previous giveaway of bricks from the former Giese School was also held, and a limited number of Giese bricks remain available for those who may be interested.

Bricks will be available for pickup on Friday, October 30, 2026, during either of the following time windows:

Morning: 7:30-9:30 a.m.
Afternoon: 1-3 p.m.

Pickup Location:
RUSD's Administrative Service Campus
3109 Mt. Pleasant St.
Parking lot behind Building 2

Bricks are available at no charge, but cash donations will be accepted for those who wish to contribute. Donations are entirely optional, and receiving a brick is not contingent on making a donation. To help ensure that as many interested individuals as possible have an opportunity to receive one, the initial distribution will be limited to one brick per school per household. Quantities are limited for each school, and bricks are available while supplies last.

Bricks must be picked up in person. Delivery is not available. Bricks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
