Don’t forget to join us for our Literacy Themed Trunk or Treat next Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:00pm!

Book fair will be open 4:30-6:30 if you wish to visit that too!

Please leave your fabulously adorable pets home for their safety and that of our students!

No matter how cute they look in their costumes it is too crowded and hectic for the four legged friends to join the fun! my hound C-Zer a wee bit salty over this but he understands that we are a SAFETY first campus!

Remember that costumes at this event must be safe and appropriate for young children.

If your student has not had a chance to visit the Book Fair there is still plenty of time! Track 4 classes will be previewing books and creating wish lists when you return next week and t1,2,3 are already deep in the purchase phase!

We will have extended hours after school before Trunk or Treat on Tues 10/27!

Technology information.

In Wcpss’ weekly family message Wednesday afternoon you will see the following information highlighted in blue below. This is simply one of the messages they will share.

I wanted to be sure we shared it here with additional info on the House Bill that was voted into law that is at the root of this change for anyone who was thinking this was a WCPSS specific decision. It was not.

Knowledge is power, and as advocates for our public schools we keep a close eye on as much legislation as we can so that we can keep you informed.

Have a great day.

Kindergarten enrollment for the 2027-28 school year opens Oct. 15.

Families should visit the WCPSS website and fill out the required registration. All kindergarteners must register at their base school before applying to a magnet school. Find everything you need to know about the enrollment process on our website.

Regular school attendance helps students succeed academically, build relationships, and prepare for the future.

Wcpss has developed a parent survey to learn more about challenges that may affect attendance and how we can better communicate and provide support.

Please participate by Oct. 28.

Your feedback will help Wcpss develop resources and messages that better meet your needs.
