Happy October, Ranson! 🍂✨ Here is your September update for our At-Large Ward!

September was packed with community engagement, strategic budgeting, regional advocacy, and digital upgrades to serve you better.

Here is a look at what we tackled together this past month:

Strengthening City Operations & Digital Tools

• Winter Prep & Budget Review: Deep-dived into our current budget to review and determine the resources and funding lined up for our upcoming winter weather preparedness.

• City Website Upgrades: Collaborated directly with city staff on key feature improvements to the official Ranson website—making city services, documents, and updates more accessible and user-friendly for everyone.

• Constituent Care: Tended to everyday resident concerns across the ward and handled the usual day-to-day business to keep city government responsive and working for you.

Statewide Advocacy & Regional Partnerships

• Video & Municipal Roundtable: Attended the Good Neighbor Guardrails Municipal Event, released an educational video highlighting and its long-term impact on local decision-making. Following up on that momentum, I worked alongside association leadership to format a roundtable for Muncip

• Jefferson County Treatment Court: Joined and participated in the Jefferson County Treatment Court Advisory group to learn more and support collaborative pathways for recovery and justice in our county.

Community Connections & Non-Profit Outreach

• Meetings & Attendance: Maintained full attendance across all required city council meetings throughout the month. Regular and Special

• Non-Profit Collaboration: Met with various non-profit groups to plan out future community projects and initiatives for Ranson.

• Hope for Recovery Event: Attended the inspiring Hope for Recovery event to show support for local recovery efforts and connect with leaders dedicated to strengthening our community health network.

Whether we are upgrading city web features, fighting for local control, or preparing our infrastructure for the winter ahead, we are building a more accountable, resilient, and vibrant Ranson together. Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your energy—let's keep this momentum going strong! :rocket::muscle:

Thank you for the privilege to serve!

Data centers bring massive infrastructure strain, heavy energy demands, and minimal long-term job returns. That is not the kind of development Ranson needs. Growth should reflect our community's values, preserve our neighborhoods, and strengthen local services—not hand over our land to massive tech warehouses.

I am standing up for responsible development!

Our town's future belongs to our residents, local businesses, and hard-working families.

Hey neighbor! Local self-determination is at the heart of our democracy, but HB 2014 undermines our rights by putting state control over local decisions.

We need leaders who will fight against and back to where it truly belongs—right here in our community.

See you at the polls! 🇺🇸✨

HB 2014 is nothing short of state overreach and communist-style government control. ❌

It strips away local decision-making and puts total control in the hands of central bureaucrats instead of the people. It’s time to protect our freedoms, stand up for local governance, and stop government overreach in its tracks! ✊

Hey neighbor! Real change starts on the block. It is up to us, so remember, remember the 3rd of November and don’t forget to vote!

Let me take a moment to be proud of my colleagues! Ranson showed up and showed out at the Good Neighbor Guard Rails for Data Centers
event this week!

Each member’s contribution was a value-add and I was proud to sit up there with each of them. Most nights, we agree. Sometimes, we won’t. But it doesn’t stop me from appreciating the time, energy, and effort each one of them brings to Ranson’s Dais! Love my City of Ranson!!

Picture from right to left, Mayor Suits, Councilor Bound, Councilor Wildrick, Councilor Tarvin, Councilor Fagan, myself and Councilor Colandrea!

See you all tonight!
