Emergency Contact Link is a secure emergency contact registry and alert system.

Our system is designed to help members alert their loved ones and coworkers that the member needs assistance.

One of the most important Alexa skills for elderly family members is the use of emergency alerts. There are a number of ways Alexa can be a helping hand if an elderly family has fallen or needs medical attention.

The text messaging function can be used with an emergency system app such as Emergency Contact Link to notify someone to trigger an alert. If you are a registered member with this alert system, say “Alexa, send a text message to Michael to trigger an ECL alert.” Alexa will send a message to your designated contact informing them they need to trigger an alert on your behalf.

*Note: This skill does not replace 911 and should not be used in a true 911-worthy emergency.

Why is Emergency Contact Link so useful? One of our favorite features is "tags".

Subscribers are able to assign tags to each contact based on their specific responsibility. When ECL is activated and your contacts are alerted in an emergency, they will also be reminded of their responsibility in your plan.

Some examples of tags you might use include kids, plants, will/trust, finances, medical, etc.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is the peak day for home cooking fires, followed by Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, and the day before Thanksgiving. As the festivities begin, here are some tips to protect what you're most thankful for!

🦃Watch your stoves and ovens carefully – or your turkey fryer – keep pan handles turned inward and lids secured.
🦃If a grease fire occurs, use a fire extinguisher to put it out. Flour or baking soda works if you can't get to the extinguisher. Don't use water!
🦃Make sure your smoke alarms are working. Test them by pushing the test button.

Stay safe and have a wonderful turkey day!
