Nevada Urban Indians host: Opioid Response Program for community partners
The Opioid Response Program invites community partners to join us for a Partners Meeting on June 25th from 1:00–2:00 p.m., at the NUI Multipurpose Room.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together community partners engaged in opioid and substance use response efforts to discuss challenges and barriers, identify opportunities for collaboration, and explore referral processes that support a continuum of care for clients.

Nevada’s Good Samaritan Law was created to address an overdose epidemic that claims hundreds of lives every year in our state.

Many of these deaths are preventable if witnesses act quickly, but fear of legal trouble often gets in the way

Under the law, you are protected from arrest or prosecution for certain drug-related offenses if you seek medical help for someone experiencing an overdose

This immunity applies whether you are helping someone else or seeking help for yourself. Don't let fear stop you from saving a life!
