I started a new job! (And it’s not rock-wall climbing…)

Thank you all who were able to attend the campaign wrap up at our home this past Saturday. Truly appreciate your support and proud to call you my friends. Thanks for all the well-wishes from everyone who was not able to attend. I will run into you in the near future, until then, don’t hesitate to call me to chat. (I always welcome coffee meetings…)

The campaign will work through its final wind down in the next couple of weeks; I will be reaching out to all of you for a little help to wrap up some loose ends. In the meantime I wanted to introduce my new line of work.

Immediately after Election Day, I began searching for a direction moving forward. I could continue on in the fabrication and car industry, or turn to something else. Something else won and I landed with Tim Gaspar at Gaspar Insurance Services in Woodland Hills. Two weeks ago I passed the insurance licensing test and am ready to help my friends find better coverage and pricing in all of their insurance needs. I will be asking you in the near future for the opportunity to review your policies and quote you some coverage. Campaign wrap up party! The rockwall, castle bouncer, sidewalk chalk, and tacos were a big hit.

We have our final accounting to wrap and a small debt to retire. In a couple of weeks our campaign will be closed out, but the friendships that we created will last on. Thanks to all of you who participated and supported the effort!

I was asked a couple of weeks ago, in an interview, what was the most difficult part of the running and campaigning. My answer was; the need to keep coming back to friends and family for support, time and treasure.

And you all came though, for this I thank you.

Know that I have been humbled by your support. Without you standing behind me in this effort, it would have never gotten this far. All of you working the phones, walking the streets, attending events, and the social media efforts made it possible. Your willingness to sacrifice so I could possible achieve a representative position for our community I truly appreciate.

It not reaching our objective, I will be looking for a job, so anyone interested a third place finisher, I’ll send my resume. The best part of the last 18 months? The opportunity to meet new people, and work side by side with friends and family on the campaign. The worst? Trying to figure out what to write you all regarding my failure to accomplish our goal.

There will be more to follow, a wrap up event and more. Just really wanted to say thanks, and sorry its a few days late.
