As a member of Stella Volunteer Fire Department, I would like to extend a Thank You to everyone who beared the extreme cold weather Friday night thru Saturday night to support our Dept Fundraiser. Congratulations to those who participated and won the contest in the two categories. Hound category the Winner was Nubby Reiley and cash drawing winner for this catagory was Abby Pease who graciously donated the money back to the fire dept. THANK YOU ABBY!
The winner from the Caller category was Adam Hickson with the cash drawing winner being Lisa Hirman.
Drawing for the Hunters Raffle the winner was Jody Baker.
We would also like to extend a Very Appreciated THANK YOU 👏 to all the business, the list is long who supplied us with donations. We appreciate each and every one of you who attended and helps continue to keep our Fire Department up and running. We Thank you. Until Next Year!!!

January 23rd 5-8pm is registration, you can begin once registration is complete with it ending on the 24th with weigh-in at 630pm. The prizes are the same as last year. Again trying to stay out of FB jail and having this info blocked. Question contact listed parties. Hope all can attend to support our Fire Department.

With the cold weather just around the corner, we would like to have everyone prepared for the turning on of the furnaces and starting to burn wood.
Carbon monoxide.......
Some things to remember when turning on your furnace for the first time is to make sure you have new batteries in your smoke detector and batteries in a carbon monoxide detector. Both these things are important during the cold season.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless odorless gas which occurs from fuel burning sources. Examples are your furnace, hot water heater, gas stoves, gas fireplaces, gas generators placed to close to doors, your car inside an attached garage all without proper ventalation.
Make sure to check all your outside vents to make sure birds or rodents didn't plug the exhaust pipes to these areas preventing the gases to be released.
If your carbon monoxide detector is going off, get everyone including pets out of the house, call 911. Do not re-enter the home until the all clear is give by professionals. Remember carbon monoxide detectors have a operation life of 5-7 years. If its older than that then its time to purchase a new one.
Symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure are mild to severe. So do not take a chance with winter around the corner.

Those who burn wood for fuel in woodburners.... please make sure to check your flues to make sure that they are clean and clear. Burn only dried seasoned wood. Wood with moisture increases the chances of creosote to build up which can lead to chimney fires.

Hello Stella Community members. With the ice and snow events that happened over the weekend and with many of our Community members without power, water and warmth.
STELLA FIRE DEPT We will be having the Fire Dept opened TODAY from 330pm to 830pm. For anyone that needs electronics charged, to fill water, or to get warm. We still have alot of our Community without power. So let's check in on everyone and let them know.

Saturdays Predator Hunt was amazing turn out for our Fire dept. We also had cash drawing fundraiser to help the department raise money for 10 new sets of turnout gear for our members that are interior certified. We sold 500 tickets at 50$ each with a payout of 12,500 to the 7 winners. Congrats to all the winners Josh Stamper, Ginger Iwen, Caitlyn Rieuf, Susan Day, Kim Goodin, Todd Payne, and Judy Mikalauski. Thank you all for supporting our Stella Volunteer Fire Department. Until next year.

Well 2025 is in the books for our Stella Volunteer Fire Department predator hunt fundraiser. We Stella department member would like to send out a BIG FURRY THANK YOU to all the business, bars, restaurants who donated apparel, gift certificates, gift cards, and useful products to the event We also would like to THANK ALL THEN HUNTERS that register to participate. Congratulations to all the hunters that supplied predators for the event and to all the winners. We had an amazing turn out and we would not be able to do this without the support from the community members and surrounding areas. Thanks to Shauna J from WJFW Channel 12 for coming out and recognizing the event. Thanks you again everyone.
