🌎💧 Learning Beyond the Classroom at Ripley Elementary School
Ripley Elementary’s 5th graders headed to the County Farm for an exciting, hands-on learning experience! Through six interactive stations, students explored the water cycle, invasive aquatic species, soil health and water quality, local aquatic life, acid rain and air pollution, and the life cycle of West Virginia’s state fish, the brook trout.
These community partnerships provide meaningful opportunities for students to connect classroom learning to the world around them while discovering the importance of protecting our natural resources. What a great day of learning and exploration!
