RSA is proud to announce that a new bill, AB 568 (Lackey), is taking a stand against those who give or sell fentanyl to minors, classifying it as a serious felony. This legislation introduces a 5-year sentence enhancement and eliminates plea bargaining in such cases.
The bill received unanimous support in the Assembly Public Safety Committee, passing with an 8-0 vote. A companion measure in the state Senate, SB 432 (Seyarto), with identical provisions, also passed with a 6-0 vote.
RSA is proud to stand with those who protect our youth and hold offenders accountable.
