Fall is here! And just around the corner is election day. We invite you to join us this Thursday, October 22nd at the Civil Rights Institute in collaboration with Riverside County LGBTQ+ Student Safety Coalition to our VOTE WITH PRIDE event. We will review important voter information and review props on your ballot! We want to ensure you are making informed decisions before you head to the ballot box.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program is a bipartisan promise to help hardworking Americans who devote their lives to the public.

Yet, the Trump Admin attempted to turn it into a political weapon and challenged the court’s decision when they lost.

Now they’re backing down, reaffirming our win.

Our educators, healthcare workers, nonprofit workers, and first responders choose public service because they love their communities and want to make a difference.

We’ll continue to fight to protect the programs that support those who’ve dedicated their lives to the public good.

Please mail your ballot early or better, drop it in local Dropbox.

🚨Due to USPS process changes in California, mail that is dropped off at post offices and mail collection boxes more than 50 miles from a U.S. Postal Service regional hub is now collected the next day.

‼️This means that waiting until Election Day to mail back your ballot could potentially risk and invalidate your vote.

⚠️ *Courage California Institute recommends mailing your ballot by October 27 to ensure it is postmarked by November 3, 2026. From October 28 through November 3, drop off your ballot in person at a polling place, official drop box, or vote center.

💡Did you know that you don’t have to wait until Election Day to vote?

Registered voters in California have the option to vote by:

📬Mailing your ballot (no extra postage necessary and must be postmarked by Election Day*)
📮Dropping off your ballot at a designated ballot drop box or polling place
🗳️Voting in-person (Vote centers in Voter’s Choice Act counties open starting Oct. 24 and early voting locations throughout California open Oct. 31)

⚡ ️Your ballot is your voter power! This election, your power is in deciding on 14 state ballot measures, who becomes governor of California, and who represents your community in the State Legislature and in Congress.

*Some counties in California offer Voting Centers, a location where you can register to vote, vote early and in-person, and return your ballot in your county no matter your address. A polling place is a specified, assigned voting location set by your county elections office based on your address and is typically open from 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day for in-person voting and ballot drop-off.
