🚨ATTENTION ABSENTEE VOTERS:
Are you still waiting to receive your ballot in the mail or did you receive it and haven’t sent it back yet? Ballots must be RECEIVED by 6 PM on Election Day (Nov. 3rd) - the postmark date does not count. To allow enough time for your completed ballot to be delivered it needs to be mailed back ASAP. Here are some important things to know:

➡️ Absentee ballots can also be delivered in person by you or a designated household member.

➡️ You can vote in person early or on Election Day by surrendering your absentee ballot at the polls.

➡️ If you don’t receive your absentee ballot, you can still vote in person early or on Election Day by completing an affidavit at the polls.

➡️ You can check the status of your ballot at IndianaVoters.IN.gov or in Spencer County contact the Voter Registration Office at 649-6017.

Don’t let slow mail silence your voice. Be prepared, make a plan, and vote! 🇺🇸

Twenty years ago, I asked the people of the Eighth to send a sheriff to Washington, not a politician. I told them I'd listen to folks back home, that every child in this district deserves to grow up safe and secure, and that representing southern Indiana means putting families ahead of party.

Mary Allen understands that promise because she's lived it. For decades, her hard work and community service have made an impact. Evansville residents placed their trust in her by electing her to City Council, where she works to solve problems that impact everyday life.

When she says that working families are struggling, she’s not reading from a script—she's been knocking on doors to hear it firsthand.

This seat has never belonged to a single party. It belongs to the people. You expect your representative to show up and fight for you. I know Mary Allen will do exactly that, and I'm proud to stand with her.

- Brad Ellsworth
Former Vanderburgh County Sheriff and Congressman, Indiana District Eight

Spencer County is facing some of the biggest decisions it has made in a generation. Indiana Michigan Power has filed to build a 1,520 megawatt gas plant at Rockport, and Tenaska wants to build another plant that would pull about six million gallons of water a day. At the Grandview forum, the moderator asked both state senate candidates whether we have taken campaign contributions from energy companies. The appointed senator said he has. I said I haven’t, and I never will. The people who decide where these plants go and who pays for them should answer to you, not to the companies building them.

These 3 are the reason for all of it.

✨ The reason I’ve come to care so deeply for Spencer County and the people here.

✨ The reason I decided that I have to try to do something to make positive change.

✨ The reason I don’t want a data center in our backyards without sufficient research and safeguards in place.

✨ The reason I want to make sure our public schools and libraries have the resources and funding they need before giving tax breaks and abatements to corporations.

Spencer County residents deserve leadership that cares about the future they’re creating. We should know what’s going on BEFORE big decisions are made so we can have informed opinions.

The next handful of years will bring A LOT of tough decisions for Spencer County leadership and I think it’s time for fresh perspectives and transparent conversations.

Spencer County is one of a number of Indiana counties with no data center regulations though Warrick and Vanderburgh Counties have enacted temporary moratoriums. There has apparently been an addition to this Friday morning’s Commissioner’s agenda related to ordinances and data centers as well as animal control. The meeting is at 8:30 AM.

Farmers need markets to sell their products and lower prices on inputs. Republicans refuse to question or push back against the disastrous tariffs and trade wars and even the more disastrous Iran war. Their answer? Send more government checks for “temporary relief.” It’s time to elect more responsible adults.

Farmers could soon receive one-time payments as part of an $8 billion program announced by President Trump. https://thehill.com/business/agriculture/6160126-farmers-to-get-one-time-payments-from-8-billion-program-trump-says-what-to-know/

No one is entitled to your vote. Too many in today’s Republican party behave as though you don’t matter and then expect your vote in spite of rampant grift and corruption. This election offers an opportunity for change and to send a clear message that we as voters expect and demand better. No more tricks! Early voting is open now. Don’t wait. Let your voice be heard! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
