Chris Laba Adrian PerezRobert Charles StephensRoselle FMBA 255Roselle Fire FMBA Local 55Last night was a very special and bittersweet night for me.

Not only did the Borough of Roselle formally accept my retirement, but four well-deserved promotions also took place. I had the honor of standing before the Mayor and Council, the residents, the Fire Department personnel, family, and friends to give my final speech as Chief of Department and Business Administrator.

Congratulations to the newly promoted members. I wish each of you nothing but the best as you continue your careers and serve this community with pride.

Tuesday will be my last shift working for Roselle before I officially enter retirement.

Thank you, Roselle, for providing for me my entire life — from the day I was born until the day I finish my career. My heart will always be with the residents and with the best interests of Roselle.

Forever grateful.

Chief Christopher Laba
