The last four years have been an incredible journey. Serving District 4 has been a privilege, and the connections we’ve built and the work we’ve accomplished together mean the world to me. Our holiday party this year was truly something special. It was such a joy to laugh, share a meal, and celebrate with our D4 team and appointed commissioners and our loved ones. Spending the holidays with those we’ve built community with and worked alongside tirelessly to care for and uplift District 4 made it all the more meaningful. Wishing everyone holiday cheer and a very happy new year!

This weekend marked our final Toy Drive at Leataata Floyd, and it was truly heartwarming and meaningful. Seeing the kids and families we’ve come to know over the years filled our hearts with joy. This year, we gave it our all to make this the biggest and best Toy Drive yet. We were honored to sponsor this event alongside SHRA and Sac Fire Local 522 and want to express our gratitude to the incredible staff at Leataata Floyd and all of our amazing volunteers. We hope to see the Toy Drive continue, ensuring this beautiful community is always showered with love and care.

December 14th, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Kulture will be hosting their annual Posada at 2331 K Street! There will be 40+ vendors at this block party that is sure to be a great time. Warm up with tamales, hot chocolate, pan, ponche, and more! There will be a live Mariachi and DJ set, raffles every hour and activities for kids. Yesterday, we had the privilege of joining the Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment team to honor and express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing community partners, sponsors, staff, and volunteers that keep our city parks beautiful! Their tireless dedication and hard work ensure that our parks remain beautiful, well-maintained, and welcoming spaces for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing their continued impact and celebrating many more successes!

I had the honor of attending the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Buddhist Church of Sacramento. It was an unforgettable night celebrating the history of this incredible congregation, their incredible contributions to District 4 and the entire City of Sacramento, and the vibrant culture and compassion that thrives here. I was so grateful for the opportunity to present a resolution on behalf of the Mayor and Council during the celebration. Here’s to another 125 years of compassion, culture and community!
