The Third Republic of Liberia

The current political crisis in the National Legislature is a slap in the face to the average Liberians. These corrupt individuals have abused the system to enrich themselves and therefore, don’t care about proper functioning of the government.

Reasons they don’t care:
1. Their salaries are inflated and are unreasonably high.
2. Most of their family members to include their children live abroad.
3. When they are sick, they use tax payers money for treatment abroad while our hospitals 🏥 have no essential medicines and staff.
4. They know they won’t be held accountable.

There must be change.

With the high level of unemployment in Liberia 🇱🇷, it is unfortunate that the GOL has decided to increase the price of data 📈 which has the effect of reducing communication and business interactions. This is not just poor leadership but greed on those officials who may have made such decision.

The Third Republic.
1. Presidency and Vice Presidency: 4 years. Two terms maximum.
2. Reform constitution: Superintendents must be elected. Other reforms as necessary.
3. Legislators MUST not decide how much they can pay themselves. Salary and benefits must be set by the people. Budget can’t surprise 5% of national budget .
4. War & Economic Crimes court must be established.
5. Other reforms: Judiciary, Educarion, Agriculture, etc.

In the midst of unprecedented hardships, Liberians are resolved in charting a new course. Let us reflect on our future as we celebrate 176 years of existence.

How can we as a people remain complacent in our sufferings? Until we hold our leaders accountable, we must accept our fate. Enough 🛑.

By 2005, Acarous Moses Gray was malnourished and looked for a change in government. In 2017, he became a Representative in District 8. In 2022, he married in Paris, France and spent about $100,000 on his wedding. Acarous Moses Gray has never complained about his $10,000 monthly salary and benefits in the National Legislature and never came to rescue the masses. He has benefited from the masses sufferings and has directly contributed to it. Stop 🛑 Acarous Gray and many like him.
