💜 Alumni Spotlight: Belen Isais Guzman 💜
From helping lead Sac High dance performances to pursuing construction management at Sacramento State, Belen’s journey is a powerful example of perseverance, growth, and believing in yourself.
After joining Sac High as a junior, Belen quickly became involved on campus and discovered a passion for leadership, teamwork, and organization. Today, she is balancing college, work, fitness, and even preparing for a beauty pageant in Mexico — all while continuing to chase her goals with confidence and determination.
Belen credits Sac High’s teachers and staff for helping her see a future she once thought was out of reach. One of her proudest accomplishments was translating the entire graduation ceremony and earning California’s bilingual state seal on her diploma.
Her advice for current Dragons: Keep going, even when things get difficult. Believe in yourself and remember that there is always a bright future ahead. ✨🐉
Signing Day is more than a tradition. It’s a celebration of years of hard work, resilience, growth, and possibility.
This week, dozens of seniors proudly walked across the stage to announce where they’ll continue their academic journeys this fall, surrounded by classmates, families, teachers, and a community cheering them on every step of the way.
We are incredibly proud to share that 99% of Sac High seniors were accepted into four-year colleges this year, with students earning acceptance to six University of California campuses, 20 California State University campuses, and 28 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The Class of 2026 represents the heart of what’s possible at St. HOPE Public Schools. Nearly 90 students will now take the next step toward their futures at colleges and universities across California and throughout the country.
To our seniors: your dedication, perseverance, and ambition inspire us all. We cannot wait to see the impact you make in the world.

🎓💬 Advice from a Dual Enrollment scholar
Success in dual enrollment comes from staying engaged and working together. Building connections with classmates, collaborating on assignments, and being open to new conversations can make a big difference in this college-level environment.
Time management matters. Staying on top of assignments and putting in consistent effort helps students make the most of the experience and leave a strong impression.
And just as important, enjoy the process. Ask questions, stay curious, and take advantage of the opportunity to learn beyond the traditional high school curriculum.
We love seeing our scholars grow through experiences like this. 💜✨
