This profile of Califia, a Sacramento woman repeatedly failed by CA’s mental health system, is Exhibit A of the struggle to help so many homeless & languishing on our streets.

Cities are on the front lines of this crisis, but lack the tools & authority needed to intervene effectively.

That is why this year I’ll be leading the push with CA Big City Mayors for stronger CA laws & compulsory treatment for individuals like Califia.

Democrats run California, and they have preferred untreated addiction over a system with more teeth. That’s not compassionate.

In this , we visit our Roseville Rd Campus, where, right now, 35 new tiny homes are under construction.

Our unsheltered homelessness count is down 19% in the last 2 years & 50% from 4 years ago because of smart solutions like our tiny home villages.

Last night, City Council voted to take the 1st step toward selling 102 acres.

"We're looking for a developer to bring affordable housing, parks, recreation, opportunities for youth, economic development, a central gathering spot to South Sacramento."

The program, funded by Measure L, provides former foster youth (16-23) w/ $900/month.
