This Big Boy is (quite slowly) joining the family as Engine 55, though made a stop off to work on a longer-term job before it [eventually] makes its way here.
Fire Trucks 4 Hire is a multi-location provider of fire apparatus for events of all types: parties, parades, promotions, or your next big idea!
We current operate and directly manage locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Central Valley (Stockton/Modesto), though are never shy about visits further from home.

Just (one) of the factors we're moving away from red toward yellows and lime-greens here...
Does Vehicle Color Play a Role in Apparatus Safety? Dr. Stephen Solomon looks at recent studies that compare accident rates for red vs. lime-yellow apparatus.

Recently had the pleasure of being the "ride" for the East Bay Burn Relay with the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation - great weather for a great cause!

The refresh of the "family" is complete with Engine 7 rolling out the door - bound for Brazil, it sounds like - and replaced with a similar era Pierce Dash, operating as Engine 10. (This now has all of our vehicles running the same make and model, handy for maintenance, upkeep and parts!)

After nearly eight faithful years with us after retiring from a North Carolina fire department, Engine 3 is moving on to a new home!
She will be moving south to Cuidad Acuna, Mexico (population 200k, straddling the border with Del Rio, Texas) and will become a first-out engine, replacing a somewhat tired, duct tape-and-bailing wire engine they rely upon today.
At home, we're looking forward to refreshing our fleet by a potential replacement for E3, as well as our SoCal-based Engine 7.

We're often privileged to join birthday parties and the like, but not so often weddings - this past weekend, we were able to help Stephanie and Giovanni celebrate their big day. (And in short order, both groom and his father will be back on the line as members of Houston's Fire-Rescue, serving their community as it recovers from Hurricane Harvey.)

Much of the rain's behind us, giving us sunny skies -- and a renewed chance to let the birthday guest of honor's adult guests some play time, too!
