Just read this story...... and this is exactly why I had to explain to someone recently why I couldn’t take a copy of the drivers license on a piece of paper as a valid form of identification......go to the DMV people, it’s open....the lines are long but it’s important!! 

Notary Tip 101....IF you get married it’s imperative that you CHANGE your last name on your Driver’s License/Passport....otherwise you cannot have documents notarized with your “married” last name on them!! Even with your marriage certificate.....🙈 Docs with have to be redrawn with your maiden last name.

Rates are the LOWEST they’ve ever been😳 and that makes for one BUSY signing agent🖊📑 soooo Meet my two new assistants🤪I pay them in room&board, snuggles, treats🦴🍗🥓and love💗I mean I figure they already live here🤷🏼‍♀️so make themselves useful...except they already managed to get drool on my laptop, and neither one of them can type🙈😩

🙈I don’t know which is worse...COVID or the RIOTS😩🙈🙈between the two...people are wanting to sign in weird places and I’m finding businesses closed that should be open😢what a sad world, we are living in right now💔

FYI...Notaries/LSA (loan signing agents) are here to deter fraud🚫 I just came from a signing✍🏼where the “client” who was having a property document notarized and did not have ID that matched his name on the document, and refused to provide credible witnesses for ID, get mad at me🙄for not wanting to break the law.

IF you claim that the DMV misspelled your name on your driver’s license MAKE SURE you get it corrected because a GOOD notary will NOT notarize your stuff without valid ID.

It may have been legit, I may have prevented fraud....who knows BUT I’m not one of those notaries willing to take the chance and break the law. Unfortunately all notaries are not this diligent or honest. Case in point he just had something else notarized (his full loan package) and the other notary did not say anything🙈
