Today, we to honor the lives taken by gun violence and stand with the survivors, families, and communities that are forever impacted.
Here in Sacramento, we will never forget the devastating impacts of gun violence, and I am committed to building a safer future for us all.

Congress needs to do the work of developing AI policy that supports innovation and protects people. But I have concerns that the Obernolte/Trahan draft goes too far in preempting states from responding to fast-moving AI harms. We should not take away states’ ability to protect consumers, workers, children, and communities, especially without clear, meaningful federal protections.
Any federal AI bill must be targeted and strong enough to meet the moment—not so sweeping that it blocks responsible state action before Congress has put real safeguards in place.

In Sacramento and across the country, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and all those fighting for equality.
As a proud member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, I will always fight to expand people's rights, build more inclusive communities, and protect the freedom of every person to live and love openly.

I think about my neighbors being crushed by rising costs. I think about our service members being put in harm’s way and their families here at home. That’s why I have voted yes on every war powers resolution brought forward.

For months, I have stood with House Democrats in bringing forward multiple war powers resolutions to end Trump’s illegal war with Iran.
Tomorrow we will do it again and the momentum is real.
We have worn down Republicans who are finally willing to break with Trump. I’ll be voting YES tomorrow and I urge all my colleagues to do the same.

Thank you to my dear friend Elk Grove Councilmember Rod Brewer for bringing together community members for a great conversation about the issues that matter most to Elk Grove families.
I always leave these discussions energized. The people of Elk Grove care deeply about their community and aren't afraid to speak up about what they expect from their leaders.
From lowering costs and protecting healthcare to strengthening our local economy, these conversations help shape the work ahead.
I'm grateful for Rod's friendship and partnership, and I'll keep fighting for the priorities that matter most to Elk Grove!

Thank you Pastor Sadler and Shiloh Baptist Church for welcoming me and allowing me to spend another Sunday with you.
Through moments of hardship and injustice, this church has endured because people here held onto their faith and held onto one another.
Community is not something reserved for a few. It is something we build together, in real time. We build it when we show grace to one another, and we build it when we choose compassion and conviction over fear and division.
Shiloh Baptist has been building that kind of community for generations. Not simply preaching faith, but putting faith into action.

I had a great time at the Sacramento Food Allergy Awareness Walk this morning!
The food allergy community's resilience is inspiring. Their powerful advocacy helped make my FASTER Act law, improving food labeling and helping families make safer choices every day.
Now, we're building on that progress. Through my EPIPEN Act, I'm working to cap the cost of life-saving epinephrine because no family should have to worry about whether they can afford their lifesaving medication.
I'll keep fighting alongside food allergy families to make our communities safer and healthier for everyone.

I had a great time visiting and pitching in at the Elk Grove Food Bank!
The relief and heartfelt service they provide reflects the true spirit of Elk Grove: a community that lifts each other up and makes sure neighbors are supported.
I can’t wait to come back soon!

My visit to Sacramento Splash was incredible. From education to conservation, their work is a model for community collaboration. I don’t think it can be said enough, when we go together, anything is possible.
