It was a fun morning celebrating North Highlands! I loved spending time with neighbors, visiting the booths, and seeing so many people come out to enjoy Celebrate North Highlands.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, local businesses, and community partners who made today possible. Your time and hard work gave families a wonderful day together.

It was a lovely evening for Court Appointed Special Advocates’ (CASA) Light of Hope event. Thank you to Dr. Harold and Laura Jackson for opening your home and bringing people together in such a welcoming setting.

I enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces at tonight’s Best of Folsom. These are the people who open their doors every morning, take care of their customers, and make Folsom feel like home.

Adam Frick and Bill Sullivan, thank you for all the work you put into tonight. I know an event like this doesn’t just happen. You’ve built something special with Folsom Times, and I’m glad you gave our local businesses a night to be celebrated.

What a beautiful celebration of culture and community at the Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival!

This special event honored the rich traditions of our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities while giving local businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and connect with the public.

The festival was organized entirely by volunteers for the community to enjoy. Students and organizations from eight high schools and colleges, along with more than 150 volunteers, helped make it possible.

Thank you to everyone who shared their time, talent, and heart to bring this wonderful celebration to life!

This event is happening at the PowerInn Lightrail station until 11pm tonight.

It was wonderful celebrating Gekkeikan Sake USA and the reopening of its newly renovated Tasting Room in Folsom!

Gekkeikan has proudly called Folsom home since 1989. For 37 years, it has shared the rich tradition and craftsmanship of sake while supporting local jobs, tourism, and our regional economy.

I was honored to present a Sacramento County Proclamation recognizing this exciting milestone and Gekkeikan’s longstanding commitment to the Folsom community.

The 13th Annual RLE Country Faire is the perfect weekend destination for families, friends and anyone looking for a fun-filled community celebration! 🤠🎉

Enjoy live music, food trucks, more than 100 vendors, farm animals, carnival games, zucchini races, rock climbing, face painting, bounce houses and so much more. Many of the children’s activities are FREE!

The zucchini race is especially fun for competitive and creative participants. Design your zucchini racer, cheer it on and see whose creation speeds to the finish line! It is do much fun to watch!

My Chief of Staff Matt Hedges joined our community at Sylvan Cemetery in Citrus Heights this morning as we marked 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Matt reflected on the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the extraordinary courage of the first responders and service members who answered the call, and the unity Americans showed in the days that followed.

His message was also a reminder that remembrance must be more than looking back. It should inspire us to serve our neighbors, support those who protect our communities, choose kindness over division, and live in a way that honors the memory of those we lost.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

This morning, I joined the City of Folsom for its annual 9/11 remembrance as we marked 25 years since the day that changed our nation forever.

For those of us who lived through it, the memories remain vivid. Yet an entire generation now knows 9/11 only through the stories we share. That makes our responsibility to remember even more important.

Today, we honored the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families who have carried that loss for 25 years, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger to help others.

May we also remember the unity that followed…the way we checked on our neighbors, stood together, and recognized that what united us was greater than what divided us.

We will honor their lives. We will tell their stories. And we will never forget.

May God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸
