Starting October 1, 2025, candidates can begin testing for the ARE or CSE before documenting their experience.

✅ Start testing while gaining experience

Reciprocity applicants can also apply through Connect. CAB will review existing applications and reach out directly.

📌 Experience requirements still apply for licensure.

📢 DSA Update: The Division of the State Architect has revised PR 18-02: CALGreen/Energy Code Review (CGE) for Pre-Check (PC) building designs and the construction, relocation, and/or alteration of relocatable buildings.
