BWOPA’s annual Legislative Day of Advocacy and Action is days away. 👏🏾

BWOPA chapter members will join with our BWOPA One state leaders. We will also host over 50 students!

✅ We will meet with leaders from the State Capitol and members of the California Legislative Black Caucus.

✅ We will eat a delicious lunch and spend the afternoon meeting with Senators and Assemblymembers.

✅ We will share BWOPA core issues - health, education, criminal justice reform, economic security/jobs, & civic engagement.

✅ We will seek their support for bills that speak to issues impacting our communities.

Just as we have for decades.

Last Friday was hands down the most fun, engaging, and successful campaign fundraiser I have attended.

Dr. Flo’s Boots on the Grounds dance, organize, and win event was informative and brought communities together for a shared interest - electing her as the next Sacramento County Supervisor.

The BWOPA Meet & Greet last night was wonderful! It was so impactful to hear directly from both candidates. Attendees had an opportunity to listen and engage 1:1 or in small groups with Lauren Babb Tomlinson and Dr. Flojuane Cofer.

Both candidates are passionate, experienced, and immensely qualified for a congressional seat and as the Sacramento County Board of Supervisor.

Many of us in the room learned important information and how each of us can immediately support them both.
