The Sacramento Police Cares program was originally established as the "Sacramento Community Cares Program" in 2012. This grassroots effort was started by Sacramento Police Dispatcher Sarah Kern, and is currently run by two Sacramento Police Dispatchers. This amazing 10 yr old assisted Sacramento Fire Department and Sacramento Police Department
to save his 1 yr old brother's life! He translated for his Spanish speaking parents, answering crucial questions from the Fire Dept. During this event, we found out it was his birthday today! We just had to come back and show this hero how much we appreciated his help with a gift and cake. Help us wish him a happy birthday!

🎇Happy New Years Eve!
SPD Impact officers assisted with two Greyhound bus tickets home for a couple in need. Several mishaps along the way caused this man and his fiance to become stranded in Sacramento.
💜 So thankful for the generous support from Sacramento Police Cares. Through their donations we were able to help this couple turn their luck around and get back to their family waiting for them at home!

What a great event Sac Police Cares was able to help with today! 170+ families were served with turkeys, Thanksgiving dinner makings, another box of non parishable items, watermelon and a bag of fruits!
