GABRIELA Sacramento, Kin-Dom House and Tanggol Migrante will be mobilizing to support Kuya Ricky, a Filipino migrant who will be attending his ICE Check-In. Under the Convention Against Torture (CAT), Kuya Ricky should not be detained or deported back to the Philippines. However, he may still be at risk of being deported to a third country. Additionally, the Philippine Consulate has the responsibility to defend their nationals from detention and deportation. Ambassador Jose Manuel Romauldez claims that he will not allow any “third-country deportations” but there have already been reports of Filipinos being sent to Eswatini. Under this context, we are mobilizing support for Kuya Ricky to prevent him from being wrongfully detained and deported.

We are calling on our community to prevent the detention and deportation of Kuya Ricky and to call for accountability from the Philippine Consulate and Embassy to ensure that Kuya Ricky is not detained or deported, especially to a 3rd country.

Mobilization Information:
📍 John E Moss Federal Building, 650 Capitol Mall
📅 December 1, 2025, 7:00AM
