We need to bring together those who will soon be targets. Once it starts it will move very fast. Mind level? I am there, and I can support that claim with robust sourcing. You guys have to trust me sometimes, I am not trying to lead anyone into destruction, but some of us will indeed be destroyed. At this moment, we need to recruit and begin developing a network of action. Drop the S and I words and replace them with Autonomy, freedom, liberty, and inherent rights. It does not change our goal because our ultimate goal is inevitable. We need to be ready when that inevitability becomes reality. We need to use the CFC as a non-profit, charge dues, and begin building our credibility and trust. First, identify what the concerns of your target demographic are, once identified, begin operations to help, using the dues and hopefully, large contributions to facilitate that end. So, an example is immigration services. We start researching and becoming experts in immigration law and policy, help find services, provide legal aid, and create a network where the immigrant community avoids isolation out of fear of deportation. Isolation is the enemy of our movement, we need to be present, often and together often. Providing this resource will develop the needed trust relationships. That's one need for one group but not all. Next, we need to be in the hoods and barrios. This is not optional, this is a requirement and a simple fact of social movements. We will not find the type of resistance for our ranks that we need in Silicon Valley, we will not find those willing to incur personal harm and risk among the brunch liberals. We need their capital, but this comes after they see the poor willing to bleed first. Local politicians will either support or avoid dependent on their constituency, so building trust, and support thus, changing hearts and minds is essential. You know my views on charitable resistance, after 3 degrees, multiple medals, and 7 years of studying political science with a focus on US institutions, American political development, Social movements, and social change, being elected and running an institutional organization, working in the state government; I even did intel on the inside of the GOP minority leader in the state, getting so close that I broke bread, met his family, and his allies. I understand this beast at a deep level. There are formulas that if ignored, result in our defeat or elimination. Someone has to lead, that leader NEEDS to be willing to endure personal harm, to sacrifice for the goal, and will, without question, sacrifice their freedom and life for the survival and benefit of the Californians who trust that person. Trust is not given, it's earned and we have not earned the trust of the people we seek to protect, but we will. This is why being in the places that need the help most is so important, especially when both parties are owned by the corporate interests that control the parties. The reason the state took such extreme measures to discredit and coopt the Black Panthers was not due to their skin color (though it was an influential variable), it was due to their incredible success and strategy; a strategy of success seemingly avoided by social movements in contemporary times. We must be careful who provides support; as evidenced by the many groups unable to fulfill their ultimate mission because their benefactors compel moderation in their policies and approach, eliminating contentious means of resistance. We are at a pivotal moment, a truly pivotal crossroads where we choose success and survival, or face our elimination from public consciousness and physical reality. Welcome to our brave new world. We need to help those who have, for centuries, endured harm from the state and elite, provide a clear vision of the future, a future that includes them as leaders.
