Hey Sag Harbor! 👀 Never a dull moment in our little Village!

Just when you thought the Bridge Street development controversy couldn’t get any more interesting, developer Adam Potter is now suing Village officials, seeking up to $25 million in damages.

Years of debate over development, zoning and environmental concerns have now turned into a legal battle.

So, what’s really going on? And what does this mean for Sag Harbor?

The allegations have not been proven, but there’s certainly plenty to talk about!

🚨 10/20/2026 UPDATE: Well, Sag Harbor, the plot thickens! I’ve since received conflicting information about what’s actually happening at Havens Beach. Rather than share something that may not be accurate, I’m going to do a little more digging, get some clarification, and report back to all of you. Stay tuned!

Housing Is More Than Four Walls. It’s About Dignity, Stability, and Community.

At the Hamptons Black Film, Art & Culture Series, hosted by the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, the screening of Flower sparked an important conversation about dementia, caregiving, and affordable housing.

Moderated by Michelle “Bonnie” Cannon, the panel featured Curtis Highsmith of the Town of Southampton Housing Authority (TSHA), who shared that more than 200 seniors are on the waiting list for one housing community in Hampton Bays.

In one of the wealthiest regions in the country, why are so many seniors struggling to find affordable housing?

Our seniors deserve to age with dignity in the communities they helped build.
