Today, we pause to honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We pay special tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters, the 60 police officers, and the 8 paramedics who made the ultimate sacrifice while rushing in to save others.
Their selfless courage will never be forgotten. We also remember the countless first responders and recovery workers whose lives were forever changed by that day. Our commitment to service is a living tribute to their memory. 🇺🇸

Get to know your local firefighters.
This month’s featured firefighter is Firefighter Isaac Manahan.
Isaac joined the Saint Albans City Fire Department in 2022 and has also worked for the Saint Albans City Public Works Department since 2018. He has been interested in the fire service since a young age.
Isaac is currently in the process of completing his Firefighter 1 certification, which will provide him with the essential skills to be a certified firefighter in Vermont.
What Isaac enjoys about being a firefighter is the opportunity to help people in the community when it really matters.
When Isaac isn’t fighting fires, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family, including his newborn son, Brooks.
Isaac's commitment to community service is invaluable, and as he learns the ropes of firefighting, he proves to be an essential asset to our department.
Look for future posts to get to know more members of the St. Albans City Fire Department.
