Thank you Willamette Academy at Willamette University for inviting Connections365 to be part of your Guiding Minds session last night! 💙
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to spend time with students and parents at Willamette Academy talking about mental wellness, stress, healthy coping strategies, and the importance of knowing when and how to ask for support.
One of our favorite parts of the workshop was hearing students share the different things that help them reset when life gets overwhelming.
There isn’t one right answer — music, friends, exercise, pets, quiet time, getting outside, reading, taking a nap, or simply finding a moment to relax.
What matters is developing healthy tools that work for you and knowing that support is available when you need more than you can manage on your own.
Thank you again to Willamette Academy for creating space for these important conversations with young people and their families in our community.

World Mental Health Day!

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day. 💚

Mental health is part of our overall health, and asking for support should never be something we are ashamed of.

For some people, support may mean counseling. For others, it may mean connecting with a trusted friend, taking time to reset, finding healthy ways to manage stress, or simply knowing that someone is willing to listen.

At Connections365, we’re committed to helping make mental health support more accessible to the people in our community.

If you or someone you care about could use support, reaching out can be an important first step.

OCTOBER MENTAL WELLNESS MESSAGE

October is here. As schedules get busier, school is back in full swing, and the days begin to get shorter, it’s a good reminder that taking care of our mental health matters.

Sometimes that means talking with someone. Sometimes it means getting outside, taking a break, connecting with people we trust, or simply recognizing when we need a little extra support.

At Connections365, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to Hope | Heal | Thrive.

Our mental health team is here to support youth, adults, and families in our community.

💙 You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out.

ADA Therapy Room - Greater Access Begins With the Right Space

Sometimes improving access to mental health care begins with something as practical as creating the right space.

With support from Salem Health through a Community Impact Grant, Connections365 has been able to improve an accessible therapy space designed to be private, welcoming, and comfortable for the people we serve.

This room represents more than a facility improvement. It represents greater access, dignity and what is possible when community partners invest in the health and well-being of the people around them.

We are grateful to Salem Health for helping us create a space where more people can feel supported as they begin or continue their path toward healing.

Community Partnership in Action
Community support can make a visible difference.

This past June, the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership cohort helped make meaningful improvements across the Connections365 campus, including work in our therapy garden and a new roof for our P180 residential program building.

These improvements matter because the environment surrounding the people we serve matters.

Safe buildings matter. Welcoming outdoor spaces matter.

Places where youth can feel supported, build skills, reflect, and grow matter.

We are incredibly grateful to the Salem Chamber Leadership cohort and everyone who contributed time, talent, resources, and energy to these projects. This is what community partnership looks like in action.

Thank you, Keizer Rotary Foundation!

Connections365 is grateful for Keizer Rotary’s generous $5,000 grant to purchase six laptop computers for our outpatient Mental Health team.

These laptops help our therapists provide more flexible and reliable care through telehealth, concurrent documentation, and improved service continuity for youth, adults, and families in our community.

In August, our Mental Health program reached over 75% utilization for the first time in agency history, supported in part by increased telehealth access.

We are thankful for Keizer Rotary’s investment in local mental health care and for helping us strengthen access to services for the people we serve.

Thank you, First Baptist Church of Salem, Oregon

A heartfelt thank-you to First Baptist Church of Salem for spending time with us on August 25 to help beautify the Connections365 campus.

Their volunteers rolled up their sleeves, moved mulch, cleaned up outdoor areas, and helped care for the spaces where our youth, adults, families, and staff spend time every day.

Projects like this may look simple from the outside, but they make a real difference.

Welcoming, well-cared-for spaces help create an environment where people can feel comfortable, supported, and valued.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone from First Baptist Church of Salem who gave their time and energy to support Connections365.

Thank you for being part of our community and helping us create a place where people can hope, heal, and thrive.
