The Choices Network crew had a great day at the Kansas State Fair. We ate way too much fair food. We walked the midway. We laughed a lot. Nothing beats a day out with good people.

Thanks to everyone who came along. You made it a blast. Same time next year? 🙌

Even though it was a bit warm, we enjoyed a very nice Labor Day picnic. Everyone deserves to have some fun in the sun! 😎

Day Service Update: 2231C Centennial Rd is now a 2nd Day Service location!

Sometimes it can get a little chaotic and loud in the day service area! Sometimes we just need a change of pace, a different focus, or some quiet time, and this can all happen at the 2nd location.

There is a quiet reading room where individuals can read and be read to, a place to do floor exercises, a puzzle room where multiple individuals can join in, a place to do learning, and a place to just chill with friends.

In addition, this space can be used to work on job skills, develop resumes, practice interviewing, and other skills needed to obtain outside employment.

We hope to see you there!

It’s only fitting to make our July Spotlight about Blake!

Blake has been a fixture at Choices for many years! His love of the Kansas City Chiefs is well known throughout the halls! Blake and his family recently moved out of state, which we are all so happy for them, but very sad for us!

There will be no one to call the guys “old man,” no one to chant “TheMan, The Myth, The Legend, Blake Matthew Glassburn” and no one to take the guys to IHOP for breakfast!

We are all blessed for having had Blake in our lives, and he will be missed. Have fun in the next phase of your life!
