Clinton's presentation, titled "United States Diplomacy: Shield of the Republic," will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center's C.J. Davidson Conference Center and is free and open to the public.

Prior to his retirement in 2024, Clinton served 18 years on the faculty at Baylor, including 14 years as chair of the Department of Political Science. He is a recognized specialist in international relations theory, American foreign policy, the art and practice of diplomacy, and ethics and international relations. Clinton is also the editor of the latest edition of "Politics Among Nations: The Struggle for Power and Peace," one of the seminal volumes in the field of international relations.

In addition to his tenure at Baylor, Clinton has held appointments at Tulane University, Colgate University, Kansas State University, Hamilton College and Union College. He has also served as a visiting scholar at St. Andrews University in Scotland and the University of Wales at Aberystwyth.

The E. James Holland-Roy A.
