Laze E Ranch has a lot of history and beauty that inspire our photography and fused glass creations. We are just a little slice of the legendary Door Key Ranch.

What started out as 31,000 acres and eventually grew to 96,000 acres owned by J. Willis Johnson formed a piece of Texas history. In 2004 the Johnson family started selling off much of the land that spanned from the Concho River just South of San Angelo in Tom Green County all the way to Coke County to the North and East. Many folks now have homes on land that used to be expansive ranchland. Laze E Ranch is located at one of the Western headquarters of the former Door Key Ranch on Pecan Creek

Well, this is my feeble attempt to capture Aurora Borealis so far. More to learn tomorrow night.

Anyone else a sucker for old stuff that can still be used? I looked this up and it was manufactured in the 20’s - 30’s. It could be 100 years old!! Restoration has begun. Let’s see what it looks like when I get done. I’m learning how to can food like my mom tried to teach me, but I didn’t pay attention as much as I should have. I have her canner and wanted a different type. Thanks to Joel for letting me know he had one.

Rick, hope you’re willing to test out some food…..

Two days in a row……

Yesterday I had a 5’ 7” bull snake in the laying box when I was checking eggs.

Today it was a rattlesnake off my porch.

Not tomorrow Lord, please?
