Happy Mother’s Day! A huge shoutout to the women who got me where I am today and to the many women and caretakers who care for our communities.

Every second Wednesday, we host Community Care Days in District 6 💛

Each month, we try to focus on resources and services that our residents are needing the most support with. It’s a great opportunity to connect with our staff, community partners, and learn more about city services available to you — including utility assistance.

We’re thankful for all of the partners who continue to show up and support this effort each month. Since taking office, this program has continued to grow because of community engagement and feedback.

If you ever have questions, ideas, or feedback, send us a DM or drop a comment below!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week in San Antonio, and I couldn’t help but reflect on where it all started. The first photo is from my 2006–2007 first grade year—and the second is my first grade teacher now. Shoutout to Ms. Webber— still teaching at Myers Elementary in D6!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, District 6 💛 Supporting and investing in public education means investing in the future of our community and the people who help shape it every single day.
