NATO Allies enhance readiness in Latvia exercise
US High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) M142 demonstrated their ability to deploy rapidly in the defence of the Alliance. The US Army regularly deploys the system to the Baltics to train alongside NATO Allies. Should a crisis occur, US Special Operations Command Europe (US SOCEUR) will be able to rush HIMARS launchers nearly anywhere in Europe on short notice
The systems were flown to Rīga and Liepāja airfields with C-130 aircraft. During the live-fire exercise, they were used to shoot rockets on a target in the Baltic Sea waters of Latvia’s exclusive economic zone.

Infantry OSUT combines Basic Combat Training with Advanced Individual Training in one location at US Army Fort Benning in Georgia.
Soldiers stay with the same class throughout training. Unlike many other career fields, Soldiers do not have to move to another installation after BCT to learn the specialized skills for their chosen occupation.
The infantry is the main land combat force and backbone of the Army. It’s also the starting point for many advanced schools such as: Special Forces, Airborne School, Ranger School, Sniper School, and Pathfinder School.

The 2022 started off with a bang at Red Cloud Range on US Army Fort Benning with a WWII reenactment and live fire demonstration. 💥
Infantry dismounts reacted to enemy contact and coordinated additional support from nearby Sherman tanks during the WWII demo.
The live fire showed the capabilities of current U.S. Army weapons, including tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Apache helicopters.
