City Hall is coming to YOUR neighborhood! 🥳

After Councilwoman Castillo filed a Council Consideration Request (CCR) to bring City Hall to All into our communities, we’re excited to kick off the pilot program right here in District 5!

Join us this Wednesday at 6 PM at Normoyle Community Center for Public Comment. This initiative brings residents closer to City Council by creating opportunities to share thoughts, concerns, and ideas about City business in their own communities.

🗣️ Want to speak? Register online at SASpeakUp.com, by clicking the link in our bio, or in person beginning 45 minutes before the meeting and ending 15 minutes before it starts. Residents who have not registered by the start of the meeting will not be able to speak.

We look forward to hearing from you, District 5!

District 5 knows how to party! 🏘️🎉

San Antonio Neighbors Together 2026 was a HUGE success! Our team had a blast visiting neighborhoods across District 5, hanging out with neighbors, and celebrating the strong sense of community that makes our district so special.

A huge thank you to our incredible Neighborhood Associations and everyone who participated in SANT 2026. Thank you to Officer Tapia for taking us safely across the district! We’re grateful for every conversation, every connection, and the opportunity to be in community with you! Until next time!

This weekend, District 5 hosted Tangled Titles with Teri! This event educated residents on the importance of having clear titles, wills, and transfer on death deeds to protect your home and your loved ones. HUGE thank you to Danny Liguez, Assistant Director of the Code Enforcement Division, Assistant City Attorney Savita Rai, and Lizbeth Parra Davila from St. Mary’s School of Law. We were also joined by SAPD SAFFE Officers, Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark, the Neighborhood and Housing Services Department, St. Mary’s School of Law, Mexican American Unity Council, and San Antonio Legal Services Association. Thank you so much for an incredible event and to all the residents who came out to learn more. We are looking forward to the next one!

10/01/2026

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from 7pm Wednesday, September 30th through 7pm on Friday, October 2nd.  Between 2–5 inches of rain are expected, with some areas potentially receiving 8+ inches. Tomorrow, Thursday is expected to be the heaviest day, so please prepare now while conditions are clear.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Heavy rain and possible flash flooding
• Gusty winds, hail, and frequent lightning
• Streets and low-water crossings may flood quickly

Never drive or walk through floodwater. Just 12 inches of moving water can sweep away most vehicles.

PREPARE NOW:
• Clear leaves and debris from nearby storm drains
• Secure trash bins and patio furniture
• Charge phones and keep flashlights ready

RESOURCES:
Road conditions: BexarFlood.org for low-water crossing closures

Flooding/debris: Report through 311 or the SA311 app

Power outages: CPS Energy Outage Map

Forecast: National Weather Service

Emergency: Call 911 if trapped or in danger

If possible, limit travel on Thursday. Check on elderly neighbors. And please remember, turn around, don’t drown.
