Our call centers are available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM and 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. This page is to provide you, our customers, with news, weather-related outage updates and information on ways to save energy and money. NEED TO REPORT A POWER OUTAGE:
Online at http://cpsenergy.com. Or, call (210) 353-HELP (353-4357), or toll-free (800) 870-1006 from rural areas. When prompted, provide your account number or service address and a phone number. Get out of the house immediately. Don't turn any electrical switches on or off, or use a flashlight or the telephone. Call (210) 353-HELP from a neighbor's house as soon as possible. Never try to locate the source of a gas leak yourself. We will remove any posts that include personal attacks, offensive language, inaccurate information, or that are meant to sell a product or service. We reserve the right to hide excessive wall postings in order to enhance our visitor experience. Questions and comments will be answered during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm CST. If you require additional support, call (210) 353-2222 or feel free to stop by one of our four (4) customer service centers to make your next payment or request assistance with other items. With our Big Sun Community Solar program, we provide solar access to everyone, even if you're a renter or living in a home where adding solar panels isn't structurally feasible.

Here's how it works: ➡️ customers can purchase solar panels at an off-site location, then receive credits on their energy bill as energy gets produced from those panels. 🧾🤩

OUTAGE UPDATE (7:25 PM): Our crews have continued making progress restoring power as showers and storms moved through our service area today. As of this update, 14 outages are impacting approximately 114 customers, with the largest outages located in the 78221 ZIP code.

Crews will continue working through the night to safely restore power to the remaining customers. With wet and potentially hazardous conditions still present in some areas, please give our crews the space they need to work safely.

OUTAGE UPDATE (3:42 PM): Numerous showers and isolated storms continue across the eastern Hill Country and I-35 corridor. Our crews continue to make progress restoring power to customers following the showers and isolated storms that entered our service area.

We are currently working to resolve 41 weather-related outages impacting approximately 797 customers, with the largest outages in the 78249 and 78259 zip codes.

Our crews are working to restore power; however, flooded roads and hazardous conditions may limit their access and delay our restoration efforts.

As a safety reminder:

⚠️ Do NOT go near or drive over a downed power line. Always treat it as LIVE.

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE (9:40 AM): As a reminder, the US National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio Texas has a Flood Watch in effect for our area through 7 PM Friday.

Storms continue to slowly shift east toward our service area, with Flash Flood Warnings in effect for portions of the Hill Country. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding remain possible as this weather moves through the region.

We will continue to track the latest weather developments, and our crews are prepared to respond should any weather-related outages or downed power lines occur.

Please know our crews will focus on working safely, and weather and road conditions may lead to delays in restoration times.

CUSTOMER WALK-IN CENTER UPDATE (7:20 PM): As a safety precaution for our customers and employees, our customer walk-in centers will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 1, 2026, due to inclement weather.

Customers can report natural gas or electric emergencies anytime by calling 210-353-HELP (4357) or 1-800-870-1006, and can access account information 24/7 through Manage My Account (MMA).

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE (12 PM): Heavy rainfall and the potential for flooding are expected across our service area later this week. A Flood Watch is in effect for much of South Central Texas from 7 PM Wednesday through 7 PM Friday.

Our Chief Meteorologist Brian Alonzo breaks down what to expect over the next several days, including the timing of the heaviest rainfall and areas with the greatest potential for flooding.
