The holiday season is a time for gratitude, fellowship, and togetherness. But for many of our Basic Military Training trainees, it means spending the holidays away from home. That's where YOU come in! ❤️

The 737th Training Group is looking for approximately 400 volunteer host families to participate in their annual Operation Home Cooking!

This longstanding tradition gives our trainees in their 6th week of training the opportunity to enjoy a home-cooked meal, experience some San Antonio hospitality, and connect with members of our community. BMT graduates in the 7th week of training are also eligible to participate if they do not have attendees present for graduation events.

🏡 WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
🍁 Families living within 1 hour of the San Antonio metro area
🍁 Hosts willing to welcome 2-4 trainees into their homes (Wingman Concept)
🍁 Families able to provide transportation to & from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland

📍 PICK-UP & DROP-OFF: Pfingston Reception Center, JBSA-Lackland
⏰ Pick-up: 7:30–9:30 a.m.
⏰ Return: 6 or 7 p.m., depending on the trainee's training requirements

Volunteer registration is open Nov. 1–19! Scan the QR code to submit your request.

⚠️ Space is limited, and volunteer slots fill quickly! Due to scheduling requirements, families cannot request specific trainees.

For those who have previously completed a Compact 101 session, MIC3 will host a Compact 201 session on Tuesday, October 27 at 2:00 PM ET. Because the case studies are interactive, attendees must be able to unmute and share their we**am to participate during the session.
