Parents often ask: will my child get the academic preparation they need in an inclusive classroom? The answer is yes—and more.
At Brighton Preschool, we're not just preparing children for kindergarten; we're helping every child reach their full potential, regardless of their learning style or abilities. We meet each child exactly where they are.
Our curriculum builds strong foundations in early literacy, math concepts, and problem-solving skills. But we also focus on the cognitive skills that make learning possible: focus, attention, memory, and self-regulation.
Research confirms that this individualized approach actually accelerates development. The myth that inclusive classrooms slow academic progress simply isn't true. At Brighton, we're creating kindergarten-ready children who excel at showing us all that only possibilities exist.

What changes when you have answers before the meeting?
You walk in knowing what to ask.
You understand your options.
You feel more confident advocating for your child.
That’s where Meet Kaz can help.
Here’s how it helps:
✔ Answers questions about IEPs, ARD meetings, evaluations, and your rights
✔ Explains things in plain language — no confusing terminology
✔ Helps you prepare for conversations with your school or Brighton team
And just as important — what it doesn’t do:
✘ It doesn’t replace your Brighton Center consultant
✘ It doesn’t provide legal advice or make decisions for you
Think of it as the support you turn to between sessions — so when you meet with your Brighton team, you’re ready.

Meet Kaz was built by someone who’s been in your shoes. 💙
Keith Kacin — a Brighton Center parent — spent years navigating special education for his own son.
The late nights.
The confusing terminology.
The moments of wondering, “Am I asking the right questions?”
So, he built the tool he wished he had.
Meet Kaz gives you clear, Texas-specific answers in plain language — so you’re not left figuring it out alone.
It doesn’t replace your Brighton team.
It gives you support in the moments between.
Because no parent should have to navigate this without help.

Every child grows and develops in their own way — and sometimes, families just need the right support, strategies, and encouragement along the journey. 💚🐛
Brighton Center’s Caterpillar Club is a play-based feeding playgroup designed for children enrolled in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI). Through sensory play, food exploration, and hands-on coaching, families and children learn together in a supportive, pressure-free environment.
Led by Brighton Speech therapists, the Caterpillar Club helps families build practical strategies they can use at home while supporting children’s confidence, communication, and developmental growth through play.
Families participate side-by-side with their child during each session, creating opportunities for connection, learning, and meaningful progress together.
At Brighton Center, we believe development happens best when families feel supported, empowered, and connected with the right help at the right time. 🦋

Your child's third birthday is approaching—and with it comes a major transition: moving from Early Childhood Intervention to the school system.
If you've spent the past year or two receiving ECI support, this shift can feel overwhelming. The services change. The focus shifts. And parents often wonder: Will my child still qualify? What will services look like in school?
Here's what Brighton Center wants you to know: You don't have to navigate this transition alone.
Our latest guide covers everything from understanding the difference between an IFSP and an IEP, to preparing for the school evaluation, to knowing your options if your child doesn't qualify for special education services.
Learn what to expect, when to start planning, and how Brighton Center's transition consultants can support your family every step of the way. >> https://bit.ly/42o1Ct2

Big news for San Antonio families 💙
Brighton Center has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation to expand our Special Education Support Services.
This funding helps ensure families across Bexar County can access individualized support—especially those who may not otherwise be able to. Because navigating special education shouldn’t feel overwhelming or out of reach.
Through this program, we walk alongside parents and caregivers—helping them navigate Special Education laws, advocate with confidence, and ensure their child receives the support they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
“Families shouldn’t have to navigate special education alone,” said Katrina Campbell.
This is what it means to provide the right help at the right time.
Your child's ARD meeting is one of the most important conversations you'll have about their education — and you deserve to walk in feeling prepared and confident. 💙
Meet Kaz gives Texas parents clear, plain-language answers about their rights, their child's IEP, and what to expect — anytime, day or night.
A few prompts to try:
✅ "What should I bring to my ARD meeting?"
✅ "What are my rights as a parent in the ARD process?"
✅ "How do I request a specific accommodation?"
✅ "What questions should I ask at my IEP meeting?"
Then bring what you've learned to your Brighton Center SESS consultant — we'll help you turn that preparation into a strategy that protects your child and strengthens your partnership with their school team.
If your ARD is coming up, now is the time. Sign up for your FREE Meet Kaz account — it only takes two minutes 👉 https://www.meetkaz.com/
When children of all abilities learn side by side, something powerful happens. They develop empathy, patience, and stronger communication skills. They become better problem solvers, more creative thinkers, and natural collaborators.
Since 1969, Brighton Center has created spaces where differences aren't just accepted—they're celebrated. Our preschool follows a true inclusion model with a mix of traditional learners and children with special needs, all learning together in a setting that mirrors the diverse communities they'll experience later in life.
Our on-site therapy team—speech, occupational, and physical therapists plus an inclusion coach—works closely with teachers to ensure every child can thrive. 98% of children who transition from Brighton have the skills necessary for kindergarten.
At Brighton Preschool, we build so much more than school readiness. We build friendships, confidence, and community. That's the power of inclusion.
