DIMO courses bring people of various countries together to help build a common base of understanding among dedicated healthcare professionals. DIMO has worked with 124 countries, educating 6,689 students. Our goal is to build a process which facilitates a professional development and exchange among countries, creating a shared desire to promote and implement Global Health.

This week the Defense Institute for Medical Operations (DIMO) said farewell to Lt Col Sylvia Kim this past Wednesday.
Lt Col Kim served as DIMO’s Administrator and Resource Manager for over 2 years. She’s a Medical Service Corps Officer in the US Air Force. She also worked as a French interpreter for the Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP). Lt Col Kim’s international training and Readiness background, has greatly contributed to the success of DIMO. She applied her talents to DIMO’s mobile training courses, in-resident courses, assisted with curriculum development and course planning. Her contributions to DIMO have solidified and promoted security cooperation throughout the world.
Lt Col Kim is a true “Wingman, Leader, and Warrior”; Fair Winds and Following Seas, Lt Col Sylvia Kim!
