As the votes have been tallied, I would like to thank the near 60,000 voters who supported our campaign. We were able to take a Democratic stronghold, and close the gap to a near 60/40 vote. I would like to congratulate Constable Vazquez on her success, and wish her and all successful candidates the very best locally, statewide, and nationally. Premont Police Reserve Patrolman Canales has resided in Precinct 2 of Bexar County for almost 12 years. After much consideration and discussion with members of his community, he has made himself available for the office of Constable of Bexar County’s Precinct 2 in the 2024 election.

Over the years, he has watched the communities in Precinct 2 grow rapidly as a resident and a Deputy Constable for the Precinct; he now seeks to better serve them as their elected Constable.

Non-Profits are vitally important to supporting a community’s needs. I have been fortunate to have been in various civic leadership organizations where I have dedicated decades learning the skills of speaking, listening, recruitment, memorization, and policy implementation.

For the last five years, I have served as the overseeing Director of a Scholarship Board of Directors designed to offer scholarships to teens who prove their serve to their community and their peers. To date, our Board has awarded thousands in scholarships and have generated tens of thousands in donations to our cause!

One topic that is of great importance around our beautiful nation is that of immigration. Even with it being a hot item, I am not afraid to stand up and welcome migrants in a lawful and legal way. We are a nation and a state of immigrants. Our Hispanic community in Bexar County needs to flourish to keep diversity alive! However, illegal entry is illegal. Let’s support fair and strong protection policies for the safety of migrants, citizens, and our law enforcement officers!

As the nominee, it is imperative to express how confident I am in my capabilities in entering this role. I will remain focused on the task of a constable, and not interfer with other non-duties or other departments. Separation of powers universally, and simply “knowing your place” is vital to success. As your elected constable, I will represent you first and for most, and serve you always!

Our campaign has increased over 220% on social media in the last four days! Our outreach is growing by leaps and bounds because Bexar County is ready to move forward with new enforcing leadership!
