Tis the season

Our guiding light has passed into eternal rest.
Dave came home from the hospital on Friday.
We, along with hospice care, comforted him at his bedside, played his favorite song's and whispered sweet thoughts in his ear until his passing on Wednesday night surrounded by a room full of his loved ones.
With tremendous efforts by Vanessa Bratko, his sister Sue Haelen, Candice Casey, along with Vitas hospice service, we were to able to care for him every moment of his last four days.
Dad handled this turn in his life like a truly content human, happy with the choices he made and rejoicing in his accomplishments. I'm so proud of him.
He taught me something every day of my life and all the way through his last breath.
I was very fortunate to be guarded and shined on by such brilliant light like my Father.
We will honor his legacy in our family business by continuing to produce the best quality product and giving the friendliest and most sincere customer service ever.

We would like to give a special thank you to his friend and doctor Fernando Lopez. He kept Dave healthy, safe, and full hope for over twenty years.

As many of you know, Dave (our fearless founder) has been living with heart disease for over twenty years. He has had many battles and many triumphs.
Six weeks ago, Dave began another huge battle against this disease. His symptoms were small, then hit him hard. He rebounded strong but slowly began to regress. Recently, he entered the hospital, and after
a week of fighting, his body, and his doctors have told us that his big, beautiful 78 year old heart isn't strong enough for this fight, and he will succumb to this disease in the near future. His most recent and possibly last triumph was living to come home to his "world's greatest bed" under the care of his wonderful and loving doctor of twenty years and an amazing palliative care group. He is conscious but medicated and still assimilating to being home from the hospital. We don't know how long this will continue, but we hope to hear as many stories as he can muster in the meantime. Dave loves you all and, as always, wishes for everyone to "Walk well."
