My Grandfather, Carl L. Duaine, (a.ka. Laurie Foster), was one HELLUVA record keeper…

In the first edition of With all Arms, the author, Carl L. Duaine, who wrote the book at 79 notes in the preface, "There are errors, small ones, but the information is largely very accurate. Let it be a challenge to the reader and any person who is interested in such things to find these errors, correct them, and fill in the gaps in the circles and the charts."

My father, Alan Duaine wrote a 2nd edition correcting all errors and adding to the charts of the 150 core families and published 1,000 copies in 2005, of which few remain. For these reasons, along with making the historical reference of ancestry available to others, is the impetus for the 2nd edition.

Carl Duaine wrote the first manuscript and all of his others on a manual typewriter.
