Big voices from our little learners!
Pre-K students in Mrs. Garza’s class had so much fun visiting Mrs. Lara in the library this week. Students used the app ChatterPix to bring their pictures to life! After taking photos, students practiced recording their voices and sharing their ideas in a creative and exciting way. 🤩
This hands-on activity helped build confidence, speaking skills, creativity, and technology skills all the while having tons of fun! We loved seeing their imaginations shine through every talking picture. 🌠

Our 2nd graders proudly presented their “Potato People” biographies after weeks of researching, writing, and learning all about famous inventors! From brilliant ideas to creative displays, students brought history to life in the most adorable way possible. 🥔💡📚

Each potato had its own personality while students confidently shared facts about the inventors who changed our world. We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and presentation skills! 👏🥔

Who knew learning about inventors could be this spud-tacular? 🤣 🤩🌟🌠

What a fantastic morning @ Windcrest Elementary School! Our staff and volunteers were treated to a delicious pancake breakfast, generously brought to us by the house of Isibindi. From warm stacks of pancakes to lots of smiles and laughter, it was the perfect way to start the day!
We are so grateful for a community that shows up and pours into our school in such thoughtful ways. Thank you, Isbindi, for making our morning extra special—you really know how to stack up the love! 💚🦁🦢

✏️ Technology in 4th Grade 🖥️
Our 4th graders are putting their creativity and skills to work by using technology to strengthen their writing! Students are using digital tools to make writing more engaging and fun. From typing their stories to adding details and revising ideas, our young authors are building confidence and becoming stronger writers everyday. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication! Way to go, 4th grade writers—your words matter! 🌟 📚

Fiesta Fun @ Windcrest Elementary! We brought the spirit of Fiesta right here to Windcrest Elementary as we proudly crowned our very own Royal Court! Our students showed incredible generosity and school pride by donating canned goods for our school cluster pantry.
The more cans donated the higher the honor—making our celebration not only festive, but meaningful. Thanks to our students and families, we were able to support our community while celebrating this special San Antonio tradition.
Congratulations to our Royal Court and thank you to everyone who contributed to making our Fiesta celebration a success! Viva Windcrest! Viva Fiesta! 🪅 🌺 🎉

What an amazing week we had in the library! From celebrating Librarian Day and recognizing the important role libraries play in our school, to our PK students exploring and learning about plants, the excitement has been everywhere. We even wrapped up the week with a fun and motivational show that left our students smiling, inspired, and ready to do our best! The library continues to be a place of learning, curiosity, and joy. We are so proud of our students and grateful for all the wonderful moments we shared this week. 💙
