The San Diego Public Library has a few paid internship opportunities for teens and adults (aged 15 ½ and up) at College-Rolando Library and Skyline Hills Library this summer!

San Diego Pride and SDPL need YOUR help designing our PRIDE 2026 commemorative card! This contest is open to artists of all ages with a design that celebrates the theme of PRIDE Shines On.☀️
The theme for San Diego Pride 2026 is Pride Shines On. "As fear-driven narratives resurface and familiar efforts to divide, silence, and roll back hard-won freedoms intensify, San Diego Pride makes a conscious choice: we choose to shine on. We shine in our love for one another. We shine in our audacity to exist—and to thrive. We shine in our resolve to foster pride, equality, and respect for all le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities locally, nationally, and globally."
The Grand Prize Winner's design that best captures this theme will receive a prize (valued at $250) and have their design printed on the 2026 PRIDE library card! 🌈
Contest Rules 😍
1. One entry per person.
2. Must be your own original artwork.
3. Artwork must fit within the template.
4. Design must include a keychain card version.
5. Artwork should celebrate this year’s theme.

Join Hillcrest Youth Center and SDPL each month at HYC to read and discuss a graphic novel written by an LGBTQIA+ author every 4th Wednesday! Free books and snacks will be provided.
The club is recommended for ages 13-24.
*Youth ages 10-13 are still welcome to attend if they are interested in participating, as long as they are comfortable with the topics the books are discussing.
