This bag design has gotten more comments and requests than any other item I’ve posted.

Designing this bag took weeks since it initially involved a few skills I hadn’t practiced before. Mainly the zipper. I wanted to make a bag that was easy to use, easy on the eyes, and could maintain its form after years of abuse. Then I found a pattern for a little fabric coin purse. After a few adjustments, the pattern worked beautifully with leather.

It may look simple but this is one of the toughest items I make. It’s also stressful to make since any little mistake late in the process that could ruin the entire project.

I made this one for an old friend who is always traveling. I added an extra zipper pull, a rolled handle, and an interior pocket, and gold foil on the logo… because it wasn’t hard enough to make before… but now I kinda want to add a shoulder strap…
