Our students need a space to reflect and pray. And they need it sooner rather than later ⏰

The Contemplation Lounge is too small and while we are very appreciative of administrations plans to create a larger space in Pepper Canyon East, the student need for it is urgent.

Today I sent a letter calling on administration to expedite the approval and development of a temporary space in the Student Health Building while a permanent space is created 🦺🏗️

Let’s get a Disability Studies Minor Program here at UCSD🔱

This Monday our advocates, leaders and alumni met with our Vice Chancellors to sign and celebrate the opening of the Disability Resource Hub🎉

Students have been pushing for this space for over a decade. It is so important to highlight all of those who were a part of this💛

GEISEL 24 HOURS IS COMING BACK!!! After 1,200 of you filled our survey, after resolutions, meetings with the library and chancellor. We hit a roadblock, twice. We pivoted, came back stronger each time. We were persistent, ferocious, obnoxious with our effort. The topic was on the agenda of every meeting I had with the chancellor. College councils and graduate students jumped in too. I’m so grateful. This is one of the biggest student advocacy victories in UCSD history and I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of it💙💛
