Once upon a time, Terri Libenson was a little girl doodling in her brother’s comic books. Now she’s the creator of the celebrated middle-grade graphic novel series, Emmie and Friends. Last week, she shared her story with students at RCSD Cooley.

Like Terri at their age, students were encouraged to embrace the creative process, even when their work isn’t “perfect.”

Pop quiz! Did these RCSD Stoneridge students…
A: Color a little TOO far outside the lines?
B: Take a Magic School Bus field trip to the inside of a rainbow?

If you guessed C, then join us in thanking the amazing families, volunteers, sponsors, and Stoneridge PTC that made the school’s Jog-a-Thon Color Run a success!

Your child’s presence matters.

When a student is at school, they aren't just learning - they are part of a community.

Their ideas.
Their questions.
Their laughter.
Their friendships.
Their presence.

They matter to us and so does every day they can be here.

Last week, Principal Samodurov presented RCSD Brown's namesake, Vencil Brown, with a card for his 90th birthday. Each class helped create the gift, and the whole school got to witness the exchange during their annual Constitution Day celebration.

The event also featured students and staff honoring their family who have served or are currently serving in the military, sing-alongs, and performances from Brown’s talented 5th grade students.
