Hello, all those in Christ Jesus,
I’ve been reflecting on the events unfolding in the world and in our country lately. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, our heavenly Father isn’t unaware or distant. He sees it all, and He’s not asleep at the wheel.

But here’s the thing: He’s looking for people willing to step up, to stand in the gap, and make a difference. Could that be you?

Ezekiel 22:30 really hits home: “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Let’s not be the “no one” He finds. Let’s be the ones who say, “Here I am, Lord. Use me.”

Straw people are built with lies, presumptions, guessing, falsehoods, misconceptions, wrong ideas, and partial truths.

For those in Christ, straw people can be created from our unrenewed mind, about others.

The dominion of darkness (devil and demons) also plays a part in forming straw people.

They will attempt to speak something that is a lie. Believing the lie will form a straw person.

They enjoy this arena because it produces much torment for the believer, plus, affecting their sleep.

Much time is wasted on wrong imaginary thoughts in the mind. They can dismantle relationships, annihilate a marriage, and cause strife.

When someone allows lies and deception to enter their thoughts and if they are acted upon, the straw people (imaginary thoughts in the mind) become stronger.

Then, they become a stronghold. It is like breathing life into the straw person.

Strongholds need to be pulled down and destroyed by the truth of God's Word.

The Word reveals His promises, guidance, and love, enabling us to trust Him even when we face challenges.

2. Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. It is through prayer that we express our love, gratitude, and dependence on Him. James 4:8 highlights the importance of prayer in drawing near to God, encouraging believers to resist distractions and approach Him with sincerity. Prayer also aligns our hearts with His will and opens the door for deeper intimacy.

3. Studying Scripture, God's Word, goes beyond reading; it involves meditating on its truths and applying them to our lives. Ephesians 5:1 calls us to be imitators of God, which requires understanding His ways through diligent study. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, we gain wisdom and clarity, making God more real in our daily lives.

4. Applying the Word Faith without action is incomplete (James 2:26).
Applying God's Word in practical ways demonstrates our trust in Him and strengthens our spiritual connection.
