I'm sure lots of the 30th Street businesses who value parking over people are "progressive" too. They just understand that their concerns about loss of business, which aren't supported by any studies, should override concerns about the environment, livability and the safety of vulnerable road users.
Don't hold it against them.
Why Is Bill De Blasio Trying to Kill Me? New York’s Mayor Claims to Be Progressive but Favors Drivers Over Bicyclists. I never expected that my skills as a war reporter would be relevant to my life as a dad in a Brooklyn, but that was before I started biking to work.

A Denver Newscaster’s Epic Takedown of Bike-Lane Nimbys Local news coverage of bike safety can be dreadful. So we’ve got to hand it to Kyle Clark of 9News in Denver. After a group of homeowners tried to halt the construction of a bike lane on Sout…
Pretty hilarious that people who have an unchallenged forum on a major news broadcast which repeats a false narrative every day are complaining about being "bullied" by a joke page with 50 followers that has posted almost nothing during its existence.
“The smell of liquor on his breath as we spoke and the aggressive way in which he conducted himself caused that interview the be the last I will ever do with Mr. Plante,” Landsberg said. “I am an executive director of a non-profit and referring to me in the way he did in his report only further displays his unprofessional and condescending attitude. K**I may want to take caution with Mr. Plante. Contrary to his report, I am not young, I am experienced, and I have seen many men with such attitudes cause themselves and their respective employers problems that could be avoided.”
Dan Plante did not respond to a request for comment. K**I said they did not have a statement on the matter at this time. The original video on K**I’s website has been taken down and replaced with a shorter version.
Love how business owners participating in dishonest and targeted harassment of a community member gets zero engagement, but calling one of them a crybaby brings them all here.
Oh yeah, and not caring if we die trying to use the streets that we pay for too. Pay for your own parking, sickos.
